About:

Dr. McIntyre is from Baltimore, Maryland. He received an undergraduate degree in anthropology from Vanderbilt University in Nashville. He subsequently attended medical school at the University of Maryland, School of Medicine in Baltimore and completed his general surgery residency at the Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh.

He completed a Minimally Invasive Surgery Fellowship at the Beth Israel-Deaconess Medical Center in Boston where he began his work with Partners in Health.

He has focused his career on providing surgical care to traditionally underserved patient populations both domestically and abroad.

His professional interests include:

  • Endocrine Surgery

  • Surgery and Public Health

  • Surgery in Developing Countries
