Hyperhidrosis and SVC Syndrome

Hyperhidrosis or sweaty palm syndrome can be treated with medical therapy. Minimally invasive surgery is reserved for medical failure.

SVC Syndrome is seen when the superior vena cava is obstructed or near obstructed and causes can vary from benign to malignancy. Chronic usage of hemodialysis catheters is most commonly seen in end stage kidney disease hemodialysis patients. First line treatment is usually balloon plasty with possible stenting. Minimally invasive surgery is reserved for patients with recurrent disease.
